The Winnipeg Goldeyes scored three runs in the first inning to pace themselves to to a 6-2 win over the Lincoln Saltdogs in Game 3 of the best of 5 American Association Division Series.
The win give the Goldeyes a 2-1 series lead, along with the early output, the Fish also got a strong start from Charle Rosario with pitched seven strong innings scattering only four hits, allowing two earned runs, two walks while fanning ten Saltdogs.
Bennett Parry (0-1) took the loss for the Saltdogs, pitching four and one third innings. He allowed 7 hits, five earned runs, he also walked five while striking out seven.
David Rohm led the Goldeyes offensively going 4 for 4 with two runs batted in, he also scored a run, Josh Romanski and Wes Darvil also had two hits a piece, while Goldeyes second baseman Casey Turgeon drew two walks.
Victor Capellan and Ryan Chaffee came out of the pen in relief of starter Charle Rosario (1-0) to lock down the 6-2 win.
Game 4 of the Division series takes place on Sunday afternoon at Shaw Park with first pitch set for 4:05 pm.
