Josh Beauchemin scored on the power-play with 5:33 left in regulation to lead the Eastman Selects to a 3-2 win over the Central Plains Capitals.
Rylan Hoffman had the only goal of the opening period the assist went to Matthew Hill at 4:31, shots on goal in the period favoured the Capitals 15-11.
In the second, the Selects doubled their lead to 2-0 thanks to a goal from Matthew Smith with the lone assist going to Hunter Sexton at 4:43. The Capitals battled back to tie the game in the final 6:00 of the 2nd on goals from Max Neill and Logan Calder forty-four seconds apart to tie the game at 2 heading to the third- shots on goal in the second favored the Selects 15-11, setting the stage for the Beauchemin winner late in the third.
The final shots on goal were 35-33 Eastman, the Selects were 1 for 6 on the man advantage while the Capitals went 0-4.
Denton Belluk was victorious stopping 31 while Riley Sveistrup turned aside 32 shots in the loss.
